Dear Members, as a past President I would like to announce the sad news of a truly stalwart past captain of the club Kenny Bell who has sadly passed away. I knew Ken from school days, he was a great athlete and a truly handsome man that we all wished we could compare ourselves to but knew we had no chance.
Ken was one of the most astute captains the club has known, he could weigh up an oppositions strengths and weaknesses early in a game and adapt our playing patterns to counteract them. Together with his late wife Carole they also produced one of the best Stand off halves the Club has produced in his Son Andy. There is much to say about the sad loss of this man and those of us who are of an age will all have our own memories.
I would like to wish the current senior section all the best of luck as they embark on a new season, and keep Kens skills, achievements and memories with you and you will surly be successful, RIP Ken a special lovely man.
